The tundish dry material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 60%-80% of a regenerated magnesium material, 10%-30% of magnesia, 3%-5% of a binding agent, 1%-5% of an additive and 1%-3% of a sintering agent, wherein the additive comprises a first additive, and the first additive is ferro-silicon nitride. According to the tundish dry material added with the ferro-silicon nitride, the regenerated magnesium material is adopted as the aggregate, recycling of resources is achieved, the cost of the tundish dry material is reduced, the ferro-silicon nitride with the low price is used for replacing silicon nitride, metal aluminum powder and metal silicon to serve as an additive, the cost of the tundish dry material is further reduced, and the utilization rate of the ferro-silicon nitride is increased. Other additives in the dry material are further blended to guarantee the overall performance of the dry material, so that the dry material has excellent anti-scouring and anti-corrosion performance, and the overall service life of the tundish can be remarkably prolonged when the dry material is used for the slag line part.
