The invention relates to an installation method for a casting house roof structure. The installation method comprises the following steps that firstly, a casting house traveling crane is installed; 2, a movable platform is built on the traveling trolley; 3, the casting house crane is driven to the position below the casting house roof structure needing to be installed, the crane trolley is started, and the movable platform is moved to the initial installation position of the casting house roof truss structure; 4, an upper chord structure of the casting house roof structure is installed; 5, starting a casting house crane, and moving the movable platform to a next span to install an upper chord structure of the casting house roof structure; 6, after the upper chord structures of the same row of roofs are installed, the traveling trolley is moved to the upper chord structures of the next row of roofs to be installed; and 7, after the upper chord structure of the roof is installed, the lower chord structures of the roof are reversely and sequentially installed from the end position. By the adoption of the installation method, a stable, reliable and safe movable platform is created for installation of the roof structure, and the safety of high-altitude operation personnel is improved.
