The invention discloses an automatic hierarchical display algorithm for a subway station information model. The automatic hierarchical display algorithm comprises the following steps: establishing a subway station model based on BIM, reading each floor name and corresponding floor elevation in the subway station model, judging the number of floors according to the floor names, and determining the type of a station; the actual elevation Z of the component is calculated, and when the component is a vertical component, the bottom elevation Zb and the top elevation Zt of the vertical component are calculated; the actual elevation Z of the component is compared with the elevation of each floor, the floor to which the component belongs is judged, and when the component is a vertical component, the bottom elevation Zb and the top elevation Zt of the vertical component are compared with the elevation of each floor, and the floor to which the vertical component belongs is judged; and displaying the subway station model in a staggered floor manner by using the affiliation relationship between the components and the floors. The method has the advantages that the model layering accuracy is improved, the labor cost is reduced, and an effective model layering display means is provided for the BIM in the spatial analysis application level.
