The invention relates to the technical field of regenerated bricks, and particularly discloses a lightweight construction waste regenerated brick and a preparation method thereof. The regenerated brick is prepared from an aged brick making blank through compaction molding and sintering, the brick making blank comprises the following components in parts by weight: 50-70 parts of light solid waste filler, 30-50 parts of red mud, 40-60 parts of clay, 6-10 parts of a molding agent, 8-12 parts of an anti-cracking agent and 36-48 parts of water, and the component of the light solid waste filler comprises regenerated concrete powder. The recycled concrete powder is a crushed product of waste aerated concrete, and the average particle size of the recycled concrete powder is 420-480 [mu] m. Structural defects in the light solid waste filler are reduced, and meanwhile, the red mud is utilized to activate a cementing material in the recycled concrete powder, so that the strength of the recycled brick is improved.
