The invention relates to the technical field of constructional engineering, in particular to an overhanging type scaffold which comprises a shaping steel plate, a plurality of overhanging steel beams are arranged on the bottom face of the shaping steel plate and are in sliding fit with the shaping steel plate in the length direction of the shaping steel plate, and the ends, away from the shaping steel plate, of the overhanging steel beams are fixedly connected with a building through fixing mechanisms. The shaping steel plate is formed by hinging two supporting plates, hooks are arranged on the top faces of the two supporting plates, kickplates are hinged to the sides, away from the building, of the top faces of the two supporting plates, steel cables are hung on the hooks, and the ends, away from the hooks, of the steel cables are fixedly connected with the building. The cantilever steel beam and the shaping steel plate are in sliding fit, and the kick plate is also hinged to the shaping steel plate, so that when a scaffold is built, multiple structures do not need to be assembled in sequence, the time for building the cantilever scaffold is shortened, and the working efficiency is improved.
