The invention relates to specific multilayer composites which are suitable as components of liquid crystal devices and which contain in particular two specific polycarbonate layers. The invention also relates to a method for producing the multilayer composite material. The invention further relates to a liquid crystal device comprising the multilayer composite material according to the invention, to a method for the production thereof, and to the use thereof as building glass, in automotive glass, as a headlamp cover, in filters, in shutters, in flat-panel displays, in glass advertising devices, in partition walls of trains, and in point of interest devices.
