The invention belongs to the technical field of constructional engineering, and particularly relates to a clamping device for avoiding excessive clamping of a constructional engineering supporting column formwork, which comprises an end plate, a controller is fixed on the outer wall of the end plate, sliding grooves are formed in two sides of the rear side wall of the end plate, and a lead screw motor is fixedly mounted on one side wall of an inner cavity of each sliding groove. The outer end of a transmission shaft of the lead screw motor is fixedly connected with a lead screw, and the outer end of the lead screw is rotationally connected with the inner wall of the sliding groove. The clamping plates are directly attached to the outer wall of a wood plate, then clamping is carried out under driving of the lead screw motor, accordingly, a formwork capable of adapting to a square column is clamped, meanwhile, an electric push rod is used for driving a guide wheel to push out a steel belt, then the steel belt is attached to the outer wall of the arc-shaped formwork, and then clamping is carried out after locking; and compared with an existing clamping mechanism, the device is high in adaptability, wide in application range and more convenient to use.
