The invention relates to a sanitary basin (1) for installation in sanitary furniture (5), in particular a wash basin for a sink, said basin comprising, in addition to the original basin, a surface (2) on its upper edge, at least one side flap (3) and a front flap (4), a first edge (20) being formed in a first transition region between the surface (2) and the at least one front flap (4), and a second edge (30) being formed in a second transition region between the surface (2) and the at least one front flap (4). A second edge (21) is formed in a second transition region between the surface (2) and the at least one side panel (3), the second edge (21) having at least one first edge region (30) and a second edge region (31), the edges (20, 21) or the edge regions (30, 31) representing corners rounded with different radii (51, 52, 53, 54), the first and second edge regions (30, 31) having different radii, and the first edge region (30) and the second edge region (31) having different radii. The first edge region (30) is arranged adjacent to a transition region (12) between the at least one front flap (4) and the side flap (3), and the first edge region (30) of the second edge (21) continuously turns into the first edge (20), the first edge region (30) of the second edge (21) having a smaller radius than the first edge.
