The invention discloses a method for preparing a ceramic membrane from bauxite and silicon dioxide. The method comprises the following steps: S1, pretreating bauxite; s2, uniformly mixing and stirring the bauxite and the silicon dioxide treated in the step S1, pouring the mixture into an ethanol water solution for ultrasonic dispersion, dropwise adding a hydrolyzed silane coupling agent solution while dispersing, stirring and heating for a certain time, cleaning the mixture, and carrying out vacuum drying; s3, carrying out ball milling on the mixture in the step S2, adding an organic phase solution while carrying out ball milling to obtain slurry, removing bubbles from the slurry under a vacuum negative pressure condition, and finally extruding a fiber wet film by utilizing a spinning device and drying; and S4, sintering to obtain the alumina-silica ceramic membrane. The alumina-silica ceramic membrane is prepared by using the bauxite instead of alumina, the silica is treated by using the hydrolyzed silane coupling agent, so that the bauxite can be better combined with the silica, the organic phase solution is added, so that the bauxite and the silica can be successfully combined, and the ceramic membrane is prepared.
