The invention relates to a clamping device which can be mounted on a rod, comprising: a rod coupling which is designed to be movably mounted on the rod and which has a base body and a clamping unit which is guided so as to be movable on the base body between a rod clamping position and a rod release position; an operating unit for moving the clamping unit between its lever clamping position and its lever release position when operated by a user; the object clamping piece is connected with the rod coupling piece in the mode that the object clamping piece can rotate and move at least between a first rotating position and a second rotating position. The invention further relates to a handheld shower head clamping device of a bathroom equipped with such a clamping device. According to the invention, the operating unit is arranged on the object clamping member and is configured to move the clamping unit between its lever clamping position and its lever release position when the object clamping member is in its first rotational position and in its second rotational position by a user.
