The invention discloses a foamed ceramic plate and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing microcrystalline ceramic powder and foamed ceramic powder; placing the microcrystalline ceramic powder and the foamed ceramic powder in a mold for molding through layered material distribution to obtain a green body; sintering the green body to obtain a foamed ceramic plate; the microcrystalline ceramic powder is prepared from the following raw materials: 12 to 18 weight percent of Fuan black mud, 3 to 7 weight percent of starting stone powder, 3 to 7 weight percent of pressed mud, 4 to 8 weight percent of magnesian mud, 28 to 35 weight percent of washed mud, 23 to 28 weight percent of waste stone powder and 11 to 15 weight percent of Ningde potassium sand. The foamed ceramic powder is prepared from the following raw materials: 13 to 18 weight percent of Fuan black mud, 28 to 35 weight percent of waste stone powder, 4 to 8 weight percent of starting stone powder, 12 to 16 weight percent of ceramic tile edging materials, 1 to 3 weight percent of washed mud, 22 to 26 weight percent of squeezed mud, 6 to 10 weight percent of magnesian mud, 0.3 to 0.5 weight percent of silicon carbide and 0.05 to 0.15 weight percent of manganese dioxide. The foamed ceramic plate provided by the invention has the advantages of high cell aperture consistency, low water absorption rate and short firing period.
