A riverway water environment treatment system comprises a motor, a supporting frame, two support side plates and a collecting box, the number of the support side plates is two, a driving roller is arranged between the upper ends of the support side plates, and a driven roller is arranged between the lower ends of the support side plates; a rotating shaft of the driving roller is fixedly connected with a transmission shaft of the motor, a conveying belt is arranged between the driving roller and the driven roller, a connecting rod is fixedly arranged below the support side plate, a water guide plate is fixedly connected to the connecting rod, and the water guide plate is located below the conveying belt; the collecting box is arranged below the tail end of the conveying belt to receive the salvaged floating plants; an external device used for limiting and cutting off the floating plants is arranged on the front side of the support side plate. The invention further discloses a using method of the device, and the problems that in the prior art, the structural style arrangement is single, the cleaning effect is poor, more accumulated water is likely to be generated on a salvage ship, and a user cannot conveniently conduct cleaning treatment in the later period are solved.
