The method for installing the large special bailey beam comprises the following steps that S1, a temporary supporting cushion cross beam is installed on the top of each mid-span pile; s2, sequentially hoisting two special beret pieces for the second time; s3, one special beret piece is sequentially hoisted for the third time; s4, sequentially hoisting one, two and three follow-up specially-made beret pieces, switching to a tower crane on the other side for hoisting, and mutually fixing all the specially-made beret pieces; s5, beret pieces are used as longitudinal beams, a simple device capable of moving horizontally is arranged, and two 20 t chain blocks are hung to lift a cross beam; the cross beams are transported to designated positions by the floating platform, and gaps between the cross beams and the longitudinal beams are supported by steel plates; s6, the whole falling bailey beam falls onto the cross beam; and each group of bailey beams adopts a 32t screw jack, and a support pad is sequentially dropped and dismantled until the bailey beams fall to the top of the cross beam. According to the invention, the problem that no large-scale water equipment is used for hoisting overweight components is solved; and the hoisting safety risk is controllable.
