The invention discloses a drain valve, a method for reducing the pressing force of the drain valve and a closestool, the drain valve comprises a base, a button component, two water stop components and two transmission mechanisms, the base is provided with two water outlets, and the two water stop components are respectively matched with the two water outlets in a one-to-one mode so as to control the corresponding water outlets to be opened or closed; the button component drives the two water stop components through the two transmission mechanisms respectively. Wherein one transmission mechanism has a preset idle stroke in the height direction relative to the water stop component matched with the transmission mechanism, and/or one transmission mechanism has a preset idle stroke in the height direction relative to the button component, so that when the button component is pressed down, the two water stop components open the corresponding water outlets in sequence. The button component only needs to overcome the force of water pressure acting on one water stop component at any time point when the button component is pressed to be opened, and compared with a conventional mode that two water stop components are opened at the same time, the pressing force of the button component is greatly reduced.
