Transmission system with traction motor driven hydraulic circuit and control method thereof

A driveline with a traction motor driven hydraulic circuit includes a driveline assembly having a clutch that transmits power from an input shaft to an output shaft at a plurality of gear ratios and a method of controlling the driveline. The traction motor drives the input shaft and propels the work vehicle while the controller controls operation of the transmission assembly and the traction motor. The hydraulic circuit controls actuation of the clutch in response to a command from the controller. The hydraulic circuit includes: a hydraulic pump driven by the traction motor; an accumulator connected to the hydraulic pump and maintaining the hydraulic fluid in the accumulator under pressure; and an unloading valve positioned in an auxiliary flow path extending from the outlet of the hydraulic pump to the reservoir. The unloading valve operates in a closed state to direct hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic pump to the accumulator and in an open state to direct hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic pump to the reservoir.
