The invention provides an automatic glazing and sanding method for a cylindrical head suspension type insulator blank. The method comprises the following steps: S1, placing the cylindrical head suspension type insulator blank on a conveyor belt of a glazing unit; s2, glazing the head of the cylindrical head suspension type porcelain insulator green body on the conveying belt; s3, carrying out surface spraying, surface glazing, residual glaze wiping and hot air drying on the cylindrical head suspension type porcelain insulator green body after the head is glazed; s4, the inner wall and the outer wall of the head of the cylindrical head suspension type porcelain insulator blank obtained in the step S3 are sequentially brushed with burnt-on sand glaze and subjected to sand blasting; compared with traditional manual glazing and sanding, the automatic glazing and sanding machine has the advantages that the automation degree is high, the production efficiency can be effectively improved, the production cycle can be shortened, and the automatic glazing and sanding machine is suitable for large-scale production; and secondly, different from the traditional glaze dipping process, a method of combining glaze pouring and glaze spraying is adopted during surface glazing, so that the utilization rate of the glaze can be effectively improved.
