The invention relates to a novel carbon composite ceramic linear resistor and a preparation method thereof. The carbon composite ceramic linear resistor is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 30-50 parts of bauxite, 30-50 parts of mullite, 10-30 parts of kaolin, 5-20 parts of a carbon material, 0.1-1.5 parts of an adhesive and 0.1-1.5 parts of a dispersing agent. Compared with the prior art, the manufacturing method of the carbon composite ceramic linear resistor has the advantages that the technological process is simple, the equipment cost is low, raw materials are easy to obtain, and the manufactured resistor is wide in resistance value range, high in energy density, wide in use temperature range and high in thermal shock resistance.
