One example embodiment is a support device for a wall constructed from a plurality of building bricks. Each building brick has a tenon on one side and a groove on an opposite second side. The support device comprises: a plate comprising a groove-facing surface and an opposing tenon-facing surface, a front end and a rear end defining a length therebetween, and two opposing sides extending along the length; and a side surface protrusion extending from at least a portion of each of the two side surfaces and bent toward the tenon-facing surface to form a channel shape. The channel is shaped to interact with at least a portion of the recess of at least one building brick to provide support to the wall. Other example embodiments are also described.
