The invention provides a rail reshipment auxiliary device and method, and relates to the technical field of rail installation. The device comprises a connecting rod, bottom plates, supporting legs, wheels, a limiting groove, a support and an electric hoist, the two ends of the connecting rod are connected with the bottom plates respectively, the bottom faces of the bottom plates are connected with the supporting legs, and the bottom ends of the supporting legs are connected with the wheels; the opposite ends of the two bottom plates are provided with bayonets respectively, and the center lines of the two bayonets are located on the same straight line. Limiting grooves with opposite openings are formed in the two bottom plates respectively, and the two ends of the track are clamped in the limiting grooves respectively. The support is connected to the bottom plate, and an electric hoist is connected to the support. The device can realize reshipment of a plurality of rails at one time, and the situation that a large number of self-unloading cranes are used in a traditional installation method is changed. According to the device, the track is unloaded to the track foundation through the electric hoist, friction force between the track and the track base plate is reduced by means of pulling force of the chain block of the electric hoist, the track can be easily adjusted to the installation position, manpower is saved, and construction efficiency is effectively improved.
