The invention discloses a rapid reinforcing device for a cylindrical formwork and a construction method of the rapid reinforcing device. The rapid reinforcing device comprises four telescopic rod assemblies with the adjustable length, and the four telescopic rod assemblies are connected end to end to define a rectangular locking frame used for being arranged outside the cylindrical formwork in a sleeving mode; the back shore assembly comprises a socket sleeve, an inserting rod and a clamping plate, the socket sleeve is connected to the junction of every two adjacent telescopic rod assemblies, the socket sleeves are arranged in the radial direction of the cylindrical formwork, the inserting rod is provided with a first end and a second end which are opposite, the first end of the inserting rod is connected to the clamping plate, and the second end of the inserting rod is connected to the clamping plate. The second end of the inserting rod is movably inserted into the socket sleeve, a limiting piece is adjustably installed in the middle of the inserting rod, the limiting piece abuts against the end face of the socket sleeve, and the clamping plates at the two ends of the diagonal line of the locking frame are clamped to the cylindrical formwork. The problems that different steel hoop belts need to be configured for reinforcement of existing concrete cylindrical formworks of different sizes, the turnover rate is low, and resource waste is serious are solved.
