The invention discloses an adjustable steel pipe column supporting structure and a construction method. The supporting structure comprises a steel pipe column, and the steel pipe column has the preset size so as to provide the bearing capacity of the preset size. The first steel plate is fixed to the top of the steel pipe column, and the center line of the first steel plate coincides with the center axis of the steel pipe column so as to be used for supporting a to-be-supported formwork; the second steel plate is fixed to the bottom of the steel pipe column, and the center line of the second steel plate coincides with the center axis of the steel pipe column; and the adjusting part is arranged on the second steel plate and can reciprocate in the vertical direction to drive the steel pipe column to vertically ascend or descend so as to adjust the supporting height. The supporting structure can effectively solve the problem of independent supporting of overhanging parts such as the post-cast strip and a construction joint, avoids the illusion that a traditional formwork frame body is not independently erected during actual construction in the past, but a post-jacking frame body is dismantled, and an independent supporting post-cast strip is forged, and avoids quality accidents caused by sinking of components on the two sides of the post-cast strip.
