The invention discloses an intelligent lock for inspection and maintenance operation. The intelligent lock comprises a padlock body and a control system. The padlock body comprises a lock body and a lock hook. A lock hole and a connecting hole are formed in the two sides of the top end of the lock body. A locking assembly is arranged in the lock body; the control system comprises a controller, a positioning display module and a fingerprint comparison module; the positioning display module is used for positioning; the fingerprint comparison module is used for identifying and comparing fingerprints; the fingerprint comparison module is connected with the controller, and the controller is connected with the locking assembly; and when the fingerprints compared by the fingerprint comparison module are matched, the controller controls the padlock body to be unlocked or locked. By arranging the fingerprint comparison module, opening and closing of the padlock body are controlled by fingerprints, and the padlock body can normally execute the opening or closing function only when the fingerprints of an operator are matched with the fingerprints preset by the system; and accidents caused by confusion, loss and the like of the keys and potential safety hazards caused by unlocking by using the keys by non-lockset responsible persons are avoided.
