The invention relates to a bridge high pier maintenance device and method. The maintenance device comprises a mounting frame, and two fixed pulleys are mounted in the mounting frame at intervals; the two fixing frames are arranged up and down in a spaced mode, and geotechnical cloth is detachably installed between the two fixing frames; the upper ends of the lifting ropes bypass the corresponding fixed pulleys and then are fixedly connected to the fixing frame located on the upper portion, and the lower ends of the lifting ropes sequentially penetrate through the two fixing frames and then are correspondingly and fixedly connected to the hoisting mechanism; and a rotary spray head in the maintenance mechanism is mounted on the fixing frame located on the lower portion. The maintenance device provided by the invention can climb along with the formwork after being fixed at the bottom of the formwork, so that the trouble of repeated assembly and disassembly is avoided.
