In order to solve the problem of cracks of magnesium products and the problems of fragmentation, bulging, collapse and the like in use, the characteristics of high melting point, low thermal expansion coefficient, high thermal shock resistance and high erosion resistance of the native olivine and the quartz sand are utilized, and a method of adding silica powder as a binding agent is adopted; the tundish slag blocking wall which is low in cost, good in thermal shock resistance stability, high in qualified rate and capable of obviously improving the cracking condition is prepared.
