The invention discloses a residual chlorine retaining device of a secondary water supply tank, which comprises a controller, a first dilution tank, a second dilution tank, a stirrer, a conveying assembly, a water inlet assembly and an adding assembly, a disinfection stock solution cavity, a first main dilution cavity and a second main dilution cavity are arranged in the first dilution tank, and four auxiliary dilution cavities are arranged in the second dilution tank; the disinfection stock solution cavity is communicated with the first main dilution cavity and the second main dilution cavity respectively, the first main dilution cavity and the second main dilution cavity are communicated with the four auxiliary dilution cavities respectively, and the four auxiliary dilution cavities are communicated with the water tank through the feeding assembly; the water inlet assembly communicates with the first main dilution cavity, the second main dilution cavity and the four auxiliary dilution cavities.
