The invention discloses a beam connecting piece for an assembly type steel structure. The beam connecting piece comprises a main back plate, wherein first connecting side plates formed by bending towards one side are arranged on the edges of the upper side and the lower side of the main back plate; a second connecting side plate formed by bending towards one side is arranged on one side of the main back plate, the direction of the second connecting side plate is the same as that of the first connecting side plate, auxiliary connecting side plates formed by bending towards one side are arranged on the edges of the upper side and the lower side of the second connecting side plate, and the auxiliary connecting side plates face the second connecting side plate; and the connection between the beams is standardized, so that the efficiency is improved and the cost is reduced in the whole process of design, production and installation. The connecting pieces are pre-produced in batches, the production cost is effectively reduced, the product quality is improved, and the machining period of the steel structure in a factory is shortened. Bolts are used for installation on site, installation is easy, the technical requirement for workers is lowered, and the on-site installation efficiency is effectively improved.
