The invention discloses an intelligent circulating water cooling system and method for mass concrete of a pump gate structure. The system comprises a water storage barrel, a cooling-water machine, a cooling water pipe and a temperature monitoring assembly. The cooling water pipe is buried in the pump gate structure mass concrete, and the pump gate structure mass concrete is pumped concrete; the water storage barrel inputs cooling water into the cooling water pipe through the water outlet pipe; the water cooling machine can cool recycled hot water discharged by the cooling water pipe and can enable cooled cooling water to flow back into the water storage barrel; the temperature monitoring assembly comprises a concrete temperature sensor, a water outlet pipe temperature sensor, a recycled hot water temperature sensor and a water storage barrel temperature sensor. The control standards (including inlet water temperature, inlet and outlet temperature difference and cooling water flow) of cooling water can be realized through intelligent water flow temperature control measures in the hydration temperature rise stage of the early-age mass pumped concrete, the temperature difference between the inside and the outside is effectively reduced, and the generation of mass concrete temperature cracks of the pump gate structure is reduced.
