The invention relates to a spacer (I) for hollow glazing units, at least comprising: a polymeric hollow profile (1) comprising a first side wall (2.1) and a second side wall (2.2) arranged parallel thereto, a glazing interior wall (3) connecting the side walls (2.1, 2.2) to one another; an outer wall (5) arranged substantially parallel to the glazing interior wall (3) and connecting the side walls (2.1, 2.2) to each other; the invention relates to a polymeric hollow body (1) comprising:-a glazing interior wall (3),-a cavity (5) enclosed by side walls (2.1, 2.2), the glazing interior wall (3) and the outer wall (5),-a moisture barrier (30) on the first side wall (2.1), the outer wall (5) and the second side wall (2.2) of the polymeric hollow body (1), the moisture barrier (30) comprising at least-a multilayer system (33) having a barrier function, comprising at least one polymeric layer (35) and an inorganic barrier layer (34), the invention relates to a multilayer film (10) comprising a multilayer system (33),-an outer metal or ceramic adhesive layer (31), the thickness of the adhesive layer (31) being less than 100 nm,-a connecting layer (32) arranged between the adhesive layer (31) and the multilayer system (33), comprising a polymer selected from the group consisting of oriented polypropylene, oriented polyethylene terephthalate, biaxially oriented polypropylene and biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate, and-a coating layer (32) arranged between the adhesive layer (31) and the multilayer system (33), the coating layer (32) comprising a polymer selected from the group consisting of oriented polypropylene, oriented polyethylene terephthalate, biaxially oriented polypropylene and biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate. Wherein the connecting layer (32) is directly adjacent to the adhesive layer (31).
