A power generator (1) is provided with: an electret (2) having a first charging surface (21) and a second charging surface (22); a first power generation unit (10A) including first and second electrodes (31, 32) formed on the first and second charging surfaces (21), the first electrodes being disposed on the first charging surface (21) in a state in which a portion of the first electrodes serving as the collector surface (20) is exposed; a second power generation unit (10B) that includes a third electrode (33) and a second electrode, the third electrode (33) facing the first charging surface (21) with a gap therebetween and being capable of parallel movement; and at least one of an electricity storage unit (41) and an output unit (42). The electret (2) is an electret obtained by subjecting an electret material, which contains an inorganic dielectric having a band gap energy of 4 eV or more, to polarization processing and then subjecting the electret material to electret processing.
