The ecological water demand guarantee system for the riverway in the water-deficient area comprises the riverway, a water delivery channel and a sewage treatment device, a riverbed of the riverway comprises a bent river ditch dug on the riverbed and river bottoms located on the two sides of the river ditch, and a deep water area used for storing water is arranged on the downstream of the river ditch. The sewage treatment device is respectively communicated with the deepwater area and an external sewage source and is used for treating sewage of the deepwater area and the external sewage source; the water conveying channel comprises a clear water channel which is communicated with the sewage treatment device and the upstream of the river and used for conveying clear water obtained through treatment of the sewage treatment device to the upstream of the river. The river water evaporation capacity of the river channel is reduced, a clean water source is regularly supplemented by utilizing an external sewage source, and the orderly flowing of the river channel from upstream to downstream and the purification of the river water in a downstream water storage area are realized, so that the requirement of normal clean water of river channel ecology is ensured, the utilization of underground water is reduced, and the loss of original soil at the river bottom is prevented; the riverway water quality and the riverway ecosystem restoration and landscape requirements are ensured.
