The invention discloses an installation method of a photovoltaic panel applied to a roof. The installation method comprises the following steps: providing the roof, the photovoltaic panel, a locking block and a pressing block; the photovoltaic panel is arranged on the roof, and the extending direction of the buckling protrusions is perpendicular to the extending direction of the clamping grooves; the first clamping block and the second clamping block are arranged on the two sides of the buckling protrusion correspondingly, the buckling protrusion is clamped in a matched mode, and the first transverse plate is made to be overlapped on the second transverse plate; the limiting feet of the pressing block are arranged in the clamping grooves of the frame of the photovoltaic panel, and meanwhile the pressing plate of the pressing block is pressed on the frame; moving the pressing block along the edge of the frame until the mounting part of the pressing block is overlapped on the first transverse plate of the first clamping block; the pressing block, the first clamping block and the second clamping block are fixedly connected through bolts; the photovoltaic panel can be firmly locked on the steel structure roof through the pressing block and the locking block, and the wind uplift resistance of the photovoltaic panel is remarkably improved.
