The method for producing shaving boards, MDF boards or HDF boards comprises the step of recovering shaving board material, MDF board material and/or HDF board material, wherein recovered chips and/or recovered wood fibers are produced. The method comprises the steps of wetting, heating and pressurizing a shaving board material, an MDF board material and/or an HDF board material, wherein the material is maintained under pressure and at an elevated temperature for a period of time. The method comprises the step of providing the recycled chippings and/or the recycled wood fibers as the base material in the production process of the shaving board, the MDF board or the HDF board.
