A sponge city road structure relates to the field of sponge cities. A water retaining wall is arranged between the top face of the concrete cushion layer and the side wall of the corresponding side of the sinking groove, a plain soil layer is filled between the water retaining wall and the gravel filtering layer on the corresponding side and between the filtering layer and the planting soil layer, at least one permeable pipe is arranged in the gravel filtering layer, and a sewage intercepting channel is formed in the top of the water retaining wall. Road curbstones are arranged between the side wall of the top of the retention wall and the side wall of the corresponding side of the sinking groove, a gravel stagnant flow zone is arranged between the top wall of the retention wall and the side wall of the corresponding road curbstones, and a gravel energy dissipation zone is arranged between the side wall of the retention wall and one side of the top face of the planting soil layer. The sponge urban road structure can reduce the road rainwater flow speed, remove rainwater impurities and reduce the road cleaning and maintaining cost.
