The invention relates to the field of municipal drainage facilities, in particular to a road spongy drainage system suitable for a green land with a retreated line. The system mainly comprises side grate gutter inlets which are longitudinally arranged at multiple positions along the upstream of a current gutter inlet of a road; the drainage blind ditch is used for receiving rainwater for the side grate gutter inlet; the sand setting well is used for receiving rainwater in the drainage blind drain and setting sand; the sponge facility is suitable for permeation, retention and purification of rainwater; the overflow type gutter inlet is suitable for discharging excessive rainwater in the sponge facility; the drainage pipe is suitable for draining overproof rainwater runoff. Road rainwater enters the drainage blind drain through the side grate gutter inlet, enters the sand settling well to be settled and subsequently enters the sponge facility to achieve infiltration, retention and purification of the rainwater, and excessive rainwater enters the drainage pipe through the overflow type gutter inlet and is connected into the road current gutter inlet. According to the method, rainwater is permeated, retained, regulated and stored by effectively utilizing the line-retreating green land.
