The invention discloses anhydrous stemming which comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 15-35 parts of lightweight refractory aggregate; 0-25 parts by weight of an aluminum-containing aggregate; 5-10 parts by weight of coke; 10-20 parts by weight of silicon carbide; 10-30 parts by weight of ferro-silicon nitride; 3-10 parts by weight of alumina fine powder; 2-10 parts by weight of Guangxi white mud; 2-6 parts by weight of modified high-temperature asphalt; 8-15 parts by weight of an additive; in addition, 12-18 parts by weight of a binding agent is additionally added. The invention further provides a preparation method of the anhydrous stemming. The anhydrous stemming provided by the invention has good air permeability and good strength, the volume density is reduced, the weight of stemming with the same volume as that of a blast furnace tapping hole channel and the weight of stemming added with light-weight refractory aggregate are less, and the consumption of the anhydrous stemming per unit iron amount can be reduced.
