The invention relates to a sanitary fitting (1) having at least: a fitting housing (2); a mixing valve (3) for mixing cold water and warm water into mixed water; and a thermostatic mixer (4) for mixing cold water and hot water into warm water, the thermostatic mixer comprising an expansion material assembly (5) and a slider (6) actuatable by the expansion material assembly (5) in order to adjust the mixing ratio between cold water and hot water. According to the invention, the expansion material assembly (5) and the slider (6) are arranged non-coaxially to one another, the slider (6) being actuatable by the expansion material assembly (5) via a connecting element (9), the connecting element (9) being insertable onto the slider (6) or the expansion material assembly (5) and then being rotatable into a closed position (10), in which the expansion material assembly (5) and the slider (6) are in a closed position. The slider (6) and the expansion material assembly (5) are connected to each other by a connecting element (9). The invention further relates to a method for mounting such a sanitary fitting (1).
