The invention belongs to the field of gate devices, and discloses a channel gate machine core band-type brake device which comprises a base coil, a lower friction plate, an upper friction plate, a movable gear ring, a guide gear ring, a reset spring and a guide screw, and the movable gear ring can move in the axial direction of the guide gear ring; the upper friction plate is detachably arranged at the bottom of the movable gear ring; the lower friction plate is fixed to the top of the base coil, and the base coil is fixed to the gate body. When the movable gear ring moves downwards, the upper friction plate and the lower friction plate can make contact with each other. Opening and closing of the upper friction plate and the lower friction plate are controlled through power-on and power-off of the bottom coil, so that the gate swing arm can be quickly braked and positioned after rotating to a specified angle; the upper friction plate is in a detachable form and can be quickly replaced when being worn due to high-frequency opening and closing of the passage gate machine core; and the friction pair is made of a soft wear-resistant material, so that most impact force can be absorbed during braking, and the looseness of a fastening part caused by high-frequency vibration is avoided.
