A pier protection device comprises a cylinder and a plurality of energy absorption assemblies arranged in the cylinder. The barrel body comprises a first barrel body, a second barrel body and a third barrel body, and a rolling force unloading assembly which freely rotates around the pier is arranged on the inner wall of the first barrel body; and each energy absorption assembly comprises a first hinge seat, a second hinge seat and a connecting column, the first hinge seats are arranged on the outer wall of the first barrel, and the second hinge seats are arranged on the inner wall of the second barrel in a staggered mode, so that the multiple energy absorption assemblies are rotationally gathered inwards. The stability of the whole device when the device is subjected to sea wave impact and ship impact is maintained through the angle change of the energy absorption assembly during impact.
