A highway bridge construction hanging basket comprises a main frame body, two auxiliary frame bodies, a rotating piece, two swing pieces and two elastic pieces. The two auxiliary frame bodies slide on the main frame body, racks are arranged on the auxiliary frame bodies, and swing grooves are formed in the tail ends of the racks; the rotating piece is installed on the main frame body, a gear is arranged on the rotating piece, and the two sides of the gear are engaged with the two racks correspondingly; connecting parts and a tooth part are arranged on the swinging piece, and the two connecting parts are rotationally connected into the two swinging grooves correspondingly; the two elastic pieces are installed in the two swing grooves respectively. The tooth part can swing close to or away from the rack. When the gear rotates forwards and the tail end of the rack is meshed with the gear, the tooth-shaped structure of the gear can press the tooth part and force the tooth part to swing towards the rack instead of enabling the rack to move forwards continuously and enabling the tooth part not to be completely separated from the meshing position of the gear, and therefore when the gear rotates backwards, the tooth part resets under the action of the elastic piece and is meshed with the gear again. By means of the structure, synchronous telescopic operation of the two auxiliary frame bodies can be rapidly achieved.
