The invention discloses a variable cross-section base plate and a climbing formwork body, the variable cross-section base plate comprises a main body frame and an auxiliary frame, the main body frame comprises a top plate, first supporting rods are vertically connected to the two ends of the bottom of the top plate, and a fixed inserting rod is vertically connected to the center of the bottom of the top plate; first connecting rods are connected between the first supporting rods and the fixed inserting rods, the auxiliary frame comprises a bottom plate, second supporting rods are connected to the two ends of the top of the bottom plate, second connecting rods are connected to the opposite faces of the two second supporting rods, and an inserting opening is formed between the two second connecting rods; the size of the inserting opening is matched with the size of the fixing inserting rod, the fixing inserting rod is inserted into the inserting opening, the bottom of the fixing inserting rod is connected with the bottom plate, and the top ends of the second supporting rods are connected with the first connecting rod. Fixing clamping grooves are formed between the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod which are located on the same side and between the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod which are located on the same side and the first connecting rod.
