The invention discloses a canyon river hydro-junction diversion building arrangement method, and relates to the field of water conservancy and hydropower engineering. The invention provides a canyon river hydro-junction diversion building arrangement method which is low in cost and comprises the following steps that A, a first cofferdam is built in a river, and a diversion building with a diversion open channel is built in a waterless area jointly defined by the first cofferdam and a stable mountain; b, the first cofferdam is dismantled; c, a second cofferdam is built in the river channel, and a first dam body connected with the diversion building into a whole is built in a water-free area jointly defined by the mountain, the diversion building and the second cofferdam; d, the second cofferdam is dismantled; e, a third cofferdam is built in the river channel, a waterless area is formed around the diversion building through the third cofferdam, and the diversion open channel is rebuilt into a permanent hub building; and F, the third cofferdam is dismantled. The diversion building becomes a part of the hydro-junction after the construction of the hydro-junction is completed, so that the project investment can be reduced, and the construction period can be shortened.
