The invention discloses an automatic barrier removing device for a gate of a miter gate ship lock. The device comprises a gate installed on a wall plate through a pivot, two sets of cleaning assemblies located on the inner side and the outer side of the root of the gate respectively are arranged on the gate, and the two sets of cleaning assemblies conduct transmission through a synchronous transmission mechanism. In the gate opening and closing process, the two sets of cleaning assemblies can alternately act under transmission of the synchronous transmission mechanism along with rotation of the gate to conduct obstacle removing work. The device has the advantages that the driving force is provided for the synchronous transmission mechanism by ingeniously utilizing the opening and closing actions of the gate, so that the two groups of cleaning assemblies alternately act to realize the obstacle clearing operation, and the implementation mode is easy, does not need extra power and is easy to realize. The synchronous transmission mechanism is composed of a rotating chain wheel, a fixed chain wheel, a chain and the like, the positions of all the chain wheels can be reasonably arranged in a limited space, safety of the gate and related facilities is not affected, the structure is compact, and reliability is high.
