The invention provides a coke oven door smoke blocking device and method, the device comprises a power supply control cabinet, a slurry stirring device, a slurry pump, an air compression system, a slurry spraying pipeline and a slurry nozzle, the power supply control cabinet is connected with the slurry stirring device, the slurry pump and the air compression system, and provides electric energy for the slurry stirring device, the slurry pump and the air compression system; the slurry stirring device comprises a slurry tank, a stirring motor arranged at the top of the slurry tank and a stirring paddle arranged in the slurry tank, and the stirring motor is connected with the stirring paddle; a mud outlet of the mud tank is connected with a mud pump, and a mud outlet of the mud pump is connected with the side wall of the mud tank through a slurry spraying pipeline; after a mud outlet of the mud pump, the mud spraying pipeline is sequentially connected with the air compression system and the mud spraying heads, and the mud spraying heads are detachably connected and distributed at different heights. The device and the method can replace manual operation to plug smoke on the furnace door, and the device is high in adaptability and good in smoke plugging effect.
