The invention relates to a hanger rail buffer which is used for door and window installation and comprises a shell, a buffer cylinder and a slide fastener, a sliding groove with an opening in the top is formed in the middle section of the shell, a sliding rail is arranged in the sliding groove, the slide fastener is installed on the sliding rail in the sliding groove and can slide leftwards and rightwards, the buffer cylinder is installed at the right end in the sliding groove, and the front end of a telescopic rod of the buffer cylinder is connected with the right end of the slide fastener. The device is characterized in that a buckle rod is arranged at the left end in the sliding groove of the shell, a bayonet is arranged at the left end of the sliding buckle, and the bayonet bends and extends upwards in an arc shape in the sliding buckle; the bottom of the sliding buckle protrudes downwards to form a boss, when the bayonet of the sliding buckle is connected with the buckle rod, strip-shaped clamping holes are formed in the positions, vertically opposite to the boss, of the bottom of the shell, and after the sliding buckle swings, the boss can penetrate through the clamping holes to protrude out of the bottom of the shell.
