The invention provides a fireproof gypsum board and a manufacturing method thereof, and relates to the field of gypsum boards. The fireproof gypsum board comprises a flame-retardant gypsum layer, a first heat conduction layer and a second heat conduction layer, the first heat conduction layer is arranged on one side of the flame-retardant gypsum layer, and the second heat conduction layer is arranged on the other side of the flame-retardant gypsum layer; the flame-retardant gypsum layer comprises a gypsum component and a basic cupric carbonate component, the interior of the flame-retardant gypsum layer is foamed to form closed air holes, and the closed air holes are filled with flame-retardant gas in a sealed mode. When the flame-retardant gypsum layer is heated and decomposed, the blocky gypsum becomes powder, the flame-retardant gas in the closed air holes is released accordingly, and the carbon dioxide gas released by the reaction of the basic cupric carbonate and the flame-retardant gas released by the decomposition of the flame-retardant gypsum layer jointly form a flame-retardant atmosphere. The fireproof gypsum board is low in production process difficulty, the structural strength of the gypsum board at the normal temperature is guaranteed, the amount of gas released by the gypsum board at the high temperature is large, and the effects of effectively inhibiting combustion and preventing fire are achieved.
