In one embodiment, a illuminated mirror apparatus is disclosed that includes a mirror having first and second lamp assemblies positioned along opposing first and second sides of the mirror, the first and second lamp assemblies each transmitting light along a main optical path to a central plane. In another embodiment, a illuminated mirror device is disclosed that includes a mirror and a lamp assembly having a light source mounted to the mirror, the lamp assembly including a lighting element that receives light from the light source and emits at least a portion of the light from a front light emitting surface of the lighting element. In another embodiment, a cabinet device is disclosed having a door that can be raised or lowered and that can change between an open angular orientation and a closed angular orientation when raised or lowered.
