The invention provides an ultra-large space curved surface reticulated shell steel structure construction method based on a BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, which comprises the following steps: defining a module library: by taking an ultra-large steel structure space reticulated shell as a research object, carrying out standardized definition on a steel structure roof reticulated shell structure of the type according to modeling characteristics, mechanical characteristics and an installation process to form a reticulated shell module architecture library; constructing a steel structure node library: combining a steel structure reticulated shell design method, and summarizing various design connection nodes with relatively high adaptability; deepening a partition construction method: according to the definition of the latticed shell module architecture library and the construction of a steel structure node library, decomposing a three-dimensional steel structure into universal steel structure partitions, respectively carrying out construction method design in the partitions, and drawing up the construction sequence of each partition; and core unit BIM construction simulation is conducted, specifically, BIM modeling software and mechanical modeling software are used for conducting simulation and construction mechanical working condition analysis on the construction process, and finally the whole set of integrated solution suitable for the super-large space curved surface reticulated shell steel structure is formed.
