The motor may include a motor drive shaft defining a motor drive shaft rotation axis in a longitudinal direction. The motor drive shaft may be configured to rotate a reel tube of a motorized curtain. The magnetic brake may include: a fixed portion including a first plurality of magnets; and a rotating portion including a second plurality of magnets. The first plurality of magnets may be configured to repel the second plurality of magnets such that repulsion between the first plurality of magnets and the second plurality of magnets produces a retention torque that prevents rotation of the motor drive shaft when the motor is not driving the motor drive shaft.
