The invention discloses a backfill material and a backfill method for a vertical spiral buried pipe ground source heat pump, the backfill material comprises a backfill material I and a backfill material II which are stirred and mixed together, the backfill material I comprises the following raw materials by weight: 4-6% of sand and 94-96% of bentonite; the backfill material II comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 8-10% of paraffin and 90-92% of expanded graphite; the backfilling method comprises the steps that firstly, a PE pipe with the closed bottom end and the open top end is used for wrapping the spiral pipe, so that a gap is formed between the PE pipe and the spiral pipe, then the two pipes with the gap are placed into a drilling well, finally, an air compressor is used for blowing backfilling materials into the gap, and therefore the complete buried pipe is formed. The ground heat exchanger has high heat conductivity and high heat storage performance, and transmitted heat can be stored in the form of phase change latent heat, so that the heat exchange efficiency of the ground heat exchanger is improved.
