The invention discloses a model test discrimination method for the arching effect of soil between piles, which can utilize the soil pressure distribution rule measured by pressure sensors mounted in soil bodies at different distances between two adjacent piles, and combine with the apparent shape formed by fine sand layers with different colors laid on the surface of a model soil body after being stressed and displaced, so that the arching effect of the soil between the piles can be discriminated. The soil pressure characteristics and the apparent shape are comprehensively researched and judged, and if the difference between the two judgment results is larger than the center distance of the two piles, it is judged that the result is invalid; otherwise, the judgment result of the pressure box is taken as the criterion. Therefore, the effect of improving the identification reliability is achieved.
